I missed you…. :)

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all had wonderful Turkey days. Les and I went out for dinner with Anmarie, Barend, Billie, Dom, Tristan, Ulrich and Viona. I had a nice time talking to everyone. Everyone was more relaxed than they are at gaming, though I still didn’t hear much out of Barend and Anmarie. (Who don’t game with us, actually.)

(I look forward to cooking again next year, where ever I am. The food and service at the Dros left much to be desired. And I just like cooking anyway. Besides, Thanksgiving is best done at home.)

I have a bunch of Christmas presents lined up for the knitting, but I haven’t gotten started. I know I’ll get something done next week; Les is scheduled to train in Freyburg, which means a long drive and me sitting in a hotel room for a couple days. (A real hotel room this time.) That’s fine. I have my knitting to get done, TV series(es?) to watch and an almost literal burning desire to stay out of the sun in the middle of the day. (This morning was absolutely lovely, and it’s just starting to get hot as the sun’s coming out)

I dropped off Karlein’s scarf and hat yesterday before T-dinner. Karlein called to thank me for it. I really hope she is pleased with it.

In other news: I stubbed my toe on Monday. Really whacked the sh*$ out of it, too. It’s still swollen and sore, but happily no longer purple. (Mostly) My foot is s&s as well, and I’m worried I may have re-cracked a bone. I’m trying to stay off it until the swelling goes down, and icing it in the pool occasionally. (The pool is very, very cold.)
