Yay for Friday!

I regrouped after the devastating loss of Thursday and had a very productive Friday.

Went to sleep at 5am, woke up around 10. Had a leisurely morning reading my book, chatting with Les and Libby and having a pleasant toilette.

Went to get my International Driver’s Permit at AAA. It was very easy and took very little time, even though I’d lost the ID pictures I got last month.  Yay AAA!

Picked up the mail and found my Healthcare flexible spending account statement. I haven’t used it all year, so it’s pretty big.  I took care of most of it by driving out to the clinic and ordering new glasses and refills on prescriptions. Then I drove to Beachwood and picked up skincare for me and Les and mall wandered (Translation: also bought some flowy tops from H&M and chocolate for my parents.) until it was time to head over to The Cheesecake Factory for Nicette’s baby shower.

It was a fun party.  It was nice to talk to everyone and be able to finish a sentence without being interrupted by a call or have to try to talk down a row/over a desk/etc. The drinks were quite tasty, the food was good (except for the very random portion size in my fish tacos), but the service was terrible.  The waitress was very slow; We were there for almost three hours and I took my dessert to go. (And! they put whipped cream on my tiramisu! WTF?!)

Spoke with Les on the way home from the restaurant (he was up past his bedtime) and passed out as soon as I got to my bed.  Woke up at 2 am to eat my tiramisu and continue book reading and internet activities.  There was some packing thrown in there as well.

I plan to make French breakfast puffs to take to work on my last Saturday. I’m going to wait until mom wakes up and I’ll make them with her.
