Smitten Kitten

Tuesdays are no fun.

Not much sleep today.  Was mom’s day off and she wanted to go out for breakfast and shopping. I compromised with breakfast and a stop at the pawn shop at the corner. (We suspect that our former neighbor sold pieces of mom’s jewelry there. We didn’t see anything.) I also worked on talking her into staying in the Tollis house for a little while at least.  She’s taking it a little better, but I think she still needs some convincing. She’s also becoming more melancholy about my departure.

Did some laundry and started packing clothes and making a packing list. It’s a good time to pack all my warm weather clothes - I remember all my favorite things to wear and it’s just getting cold enough that I need to wear winter things.

I hope to include fashion in this blog when I get to Jo-burg. Les wants me to teach him how to use his big camera, and I look forward to having someone else take pictures once in awhile.  I promise that I will have pictures on this blog in the near future, but I’ve been posting at work and have no way to access my files at home.

Work is kinda ridiculous today - I’ve been in the premiere queue all night, and have taken something like 7 calls in the last 6 hours. This has allowed me to get some internet shopping done, and plenty of talking and reading.  I watched a little bit of the debate, but hulu made my computer angry and I had to shut it down.  I’ll watch it later and read Jeff’s commentary at The Political Doctor.
